The Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" is one of the most infectious pop anthems ever made. Stow-Group, a global warehousing and logistics company with 2,000 employees, came to ChangeLyric to turn it into "Stow Excited" — a tribute to their CEO's 35 years of leadership. The song was played at a company event with island games, family day, and plenty of celebration.
What Changed
The perspective flips entirely. "I'm so excited and I just can't hide it" becomes "He's so excited and he just can't hide it," shifting the energy from personal romance to collective admiration. The signature line "I'm about to lose control and I think I like it" transforms into "35 years on the road and we know we like it" — anchoring the song in the CEO's tenure.
The verses were completely rewritten to celebrate the company. "I want to love you, feel you, wrap myself around you" becomes "We see the future with you, build our plan around you, innovate with you." The romantic language converts seamlessly into corporate vision because the syllable structure stays aligned. "Squeeze you, please you, I just can't get enough" maps directly onto "innovate with you, mobile, we just can't get enough."
The bridge captures the event itself: "At Stow we celebrate a better tomorrow, mocktails, beer and gin for a fun, fun time, island games and family day in paradise." It is rare for a parody to reference the actual event where it will be played, and the specificity makes the song feel like it was written for that exact afternoon.

Songs That Celebrate Leadership
A 35-year anniversary is not something you mark with a plaque. The CEO of a 2,000-person company has heard every speech, seen every slideshow, and sat through every generic tribute. A personalized version of a song they already love hits differently. It says "we know you, we see what you've built, and we're celebrating it in a way no one else ever has."
The Pointer Sisters' vocal delivers the tribute with more energy and polish than any live performance could. When the whole room recognizes the song and then hears their company's story in the lyrics, the moment becomes something people remember long after the event is over.
